Linda Lee and Wild Bill have been DJs on various local stations for a combined total of 50 years in broadcasting.

Linda Lee began her radio career back in 1979 on WOAP in Owosso, MI.  She first met Bill in 1985 when he and his family moved to Frankenmuth, MI.  At the time, he was working at a local radio station and she would come in and record various commercials and musical events. Time moved on and so did Bill, to a town called Midland, Michigan.  They re-connected in 1998 when he moved just a few blocks away from Linda Lee.   Impressed with his talent, she asked him to join her band and also invited Bill on her polka show as co-host. The “Saturday Morning Polka Show” aired on WOAP until 2004 when Michigan Catholic Radio bought the station and dropped all polka shows from the lineup.

“Cookin’ With Polkas” was one of the first shows to debut on a new Internet polka radio site called 247PolkaHeaven.com when it opened in 2000. Their program continued until the spring of 2002 when scheduling difficulties forced them to give up the show.

In the meantime, Linda & Bill continued airing polka shows on both AM & FM radio. During this time, they began receiving e-mails asking them if they would ever return to the Internet. Unfortunately, their schedules at the time made this impossible.

The situation improved in 2005, and after continuing to receive e-mails from listeners asking them if they would ever return to the Internet, Linda e-mailed Program Director Jim Kucharski about bringing her Internet show to the The Jammer Network. The rest is history.

Linda Lee is Entertainment Coordinator and House Musician at the World Famous Bavarian Inn of Frankenmuth, MI, where she has been performing her accordion and strolling thru the restaurant, bringing joy to millions of visitors who come to “Michigan’s Little Bavaria”.

Wild Bill is an accomplished violinist with the Midland Symphony, Midland Music Society, several string ensembles, and also the fiddler in “Bavarian Inn’s Linda Lee’s” Band of Frankenmuth, Michigan. He is also an on-air personality at
FM Talk 100.5 in Saginaw, MI., anchoring national talk shows, and is in charge of local content for it's website, plus the websites of four other stations in the Saginaw cluster for NextMediaGroup, Inc.

You can also hear Linda Lee and “Wild Bill” on the “Cookin’ with Polkas”  Show here on the Jammer, “Rise ‘n Shine” on WOES 91.3FM Ovid-Elsie HS Radio in Michigan on Saturday Mornings from 10-11am EST, and on Sunday Mornings, 6-7am EST on Delta College Quality Public Radio WUCX 90.1FM at University Center, MI.   Their newest show, “The Saturday Morning Polka Parade” on FM Talk 100.5 in Saginaw, MI is certainly a big hit in this market area.  It is a live show, which broadcasts from 9-11 AM every Saturday and encourages phone calls for dedications and requests. Their number is 989-754-1005.   Promotional CDs from polka/accordion groups can be sent to Linda Lee at 2801 East Ashman Street, Midland, MI  48642.  “We always love new CDs” says Linda “as the audience really enjoys hearing new music and bands.”

“Cookin’ With Polkas” features your favorite polkas, waltzes, and obereks by many of your favorite polka-recording artists throughout the country, plus they’ll be cookin’ up some great recipes! Give them a listen.
