You can tune us in via I-Tunes, WINAMP, Windows Media Player, AOL Media Player, & QuickTime on either CABLE/DSL or DIALUP. (We no longer support RealPlayer, as the folks at real.com have eliminated SHOUTCAST support in the latest version of their software.)
Users of CABLE/DSL will obtain a STEREO feed, while DIAL-UP users will obtain a MONO feed.
If you have Cable Modem or DSL, we recommend trying I-Tunes. This software has a crystal clear STEREO sound. Go to our useful link section below to download this software. Alternately, you can use Windows Media Player.
If you are a DIAL-UP user, we recommend using Jet Audio. You may also use Windows Media Player.
You may also use Windows Media Player as well. Users of CABLE/DSL will
obtain a STEREO feed with Windows Media Player. DIAL-UP users will obtain a MONO feed. For MAC users, we recommend using QuickTime.

Helpful Tips Listen to the Jammer on your home STEREO system!
Did you know that you don't have you use the little speakers that came with your computer to listen to Internet Radio? You can plug directly into your home stereo system! Here's how:
Pick up a 1/8 inch to RCA cord (you can purchase this at any store that sells electronics, such as Radio Shack), unplug the speaker cord attached to your computer speakers which would be your "line-out" on your soundcard, and plug in the 1/8 inch end into the "line-out" jack.
Look for an open input on your stereo with an RCA jack (marked L and R for left and right side). Most RCA cords are marked red and black. Plug the red jack into R, the black jack into L.
Now you can listen to the Jammer like you're listening on the radio...........in STEREO!
If your computer already has good speakers and you don't have a home stereo system, you can purchase an inexpensive sub-woofer at any computer store that can plugged into your computer. This will give you a fuller sound.
You can listen to the Jammer anywhere around the house, anywhere you go, and soon…..in your car.
Are you frustrated that you can't always tune in to the Jammer because you can't be in front of your computer all the time?
We came across a couple solutions to this problem:1) The "V6000 Mobile Black Box"
With this product, you can plug it in to your computer's sound card, select an unused FM frequency, and be able to pick up the Jammer with any AM/FM radio, boon box, or stereo system. Just tune in to the frequency you selected.
The transmission range is around 450 feet or more, so it has plenty of power so you can take your radio anywhere around the house, even the garage. We did some tests with this unit, and found we could pick up the Jammer's signal within a 450 ft. radius. Best of all, it puts out a crystal clear signal in STEREO with no dropouts!
If you want to listen to the Jammer anywhere around the house, we recommend purchasing the Model V6000 Mobile Black Box.
Visit their website at: www.mobileblackbox.com2) The “Myine Ira Internet Radio”
A company called Myine Electronics out of Ferndale, MI has released a desktop Internet Radio that is easy enough for listeners who have difficulty understanding computers to use. You will need a DSL connection with a wireless enabled modem. We recommend if you have an older modem to replace it with the newest model. Most of the newer DSL modems now have wireless capability. Check with your provider. If you have a cable modem, you’ll need to pick up a router which is relatively inexpensive. Compared to most Internet Radios we’ve tried, this is the easiest to setup.

3) Internet Radio on your cell phone
You can now listen to the Jammer on an I-Phone, I-Pod Touch, Pocket PC, or Smartphone. (such as the Android & the Blackberry) All you have to do is install a radio application (see Connection Applications for Portable Devices for links to download this software above) and you can tune in to the Jammer anywhere you go.
If you know if any new apps that will let our listeners tune into the Jammer, please e-mail Jim Kucharski at chainsaw@polkajammernetwork.org and let him know. We have been receiving requests from listeners for such apps, and Jim would like to let our listeners know what is available. Please be aware though that while there will be no problem obtaining a good signal in most metropolitan regions, you may experience dropouts while driving through rural areas. Wireless Internet providers are still working the bugs out, and if you do experience dropouts, complain to your provider LOUDLY! We are hoping in time these providers will get its act together and add capacity to their networks.
Recent public pressure is pushing auto makers and car radio manufacturers to offer radios that have an AUX jack which will allow you to plug in your phone to listen to Internet Radio. The problem is that you need to have an Internet capable phone. We are waiting for the development of a standalone Internet car radio. If we hear of any new developments, we’ll let you know.
